This styling project was inspired by old tailoring with the modern man. Collaborating tailored and smart shapes with bright colours. 

Distortion

Distortion is a project I was inspired to create after reviewing several collages: I took part in a range of shoots over several months (where I was the stylist for several collaboration pieces created by acquaintances) and, upon reviewing the final results, felt the imagery was not to my standard/liking.  I then took these images, distorted them and created this collage.

The Underworld.

Fashion film inspired by Hades and The Underworld. This film was created as part of my degree. I personally developed the trend, styling and music for this film. This film was a collaboration with Cassy bhairo who filmed and edited the footage.

The Underworld - Still Captures

A fashion film which is an interpretation of Hades. The God of the Underworld. Inspiration was developed from a trend called Underworld Tech. Developing ideas through trend boards, Underworld seemed to me to have more substance and this is where The Underworld came to be a fashion film. The clothing is layered playing on the idea of togas and jewellery which is armour-like, inspired by Greek jewellery and amour. Chains were also used as jewellery to show the imprisonment of the souls, which hades snatched.

The make up is taken from the idea of death and skeletons; using the main features of a skull and recreating this onto the human face but making it more fashionable. The contacts used were to de-humanise the model as a God is, of course, far from mortal.

Deception

Deception was a project which began with a brief of ’Power’. It was the power of me as both photographer and stylist to influence the reader in terms of visual and story but allow them the space to also make their own interpretations. Hence, the story may not always be as the photographer makes it seem. Are these really female legs? Is that really a man in a suit? The audience will never know the true meaning.
